Yesterday, Nicola Sturgeon announced a three year delay in the opening of major new trauma centres. The SNP previously promised the four trauma centres would be operational by 2016.
In recent weeks Labour has exposed the scale of the crisis in Scotland’s NHS:
– Almost 700 patients died while waiting to be discharged from hospital
– Thousands of cancer patients didn’t receive treatment within the government’s waiting time target
– An average of 21 NHS operations were cancelled every day in 2016 because of a lack of capacity or resources
