TIME TO MAKE THE SCOTTISH PARLIAMENT MORE OPEN
I am putting forward a number of ideas to make the Scottish Parliament more open to the public.i think we should be taking at least one session of the parliament out into the country. FMQs should also be opened up to the public with voters able to question the FM directly. I also think there should be a session where only backbench MSPs can question the First Minister. These changes would make parliament more open and allow local people to take the issues important to them directly to the floor of the parliament. Let’s make 2017 the year that the Scottish Parliament gets closer to people.
