Today the finance committee looked at the bill to scrap air passenger duty – a move which Labour has opposed. This has potential for real cuts to the Scottish budget.

I raised the lack of any mention or acknowledgement in the financial memorandum of the bill of the inevitable impact on the Scottish budget of a 50% reduction in the tax.

The government should explain how much the budget will reduce by so we can asses potential cuts to the budget as a result of this flawed legislation.
